69 - The Collection
This week we read and discuss The Collection by Nina Leger which is about a lady who commits her sexual partner’s penises to memory. It's explicit. I literally cannot imagine any of you listen to this with children, but just in case you normally do, don't this time. There's also a quiz about the Bad Sex in Fiction Award at the end of the episode, plus a Mad Lib. So, what I'm saying is: This one is fun.
Our next book discussion is going to be Weather by Jenny Offill. We mean this always, but this time we really mean it when we say get it from a local independent bookseller. They need you now more than ever.
And here’s your Bad Sex in Fiction Mad Lib
For those of you who haven’t done a Mad Lib in, oh, say, 17 years: it’s more fun if you fill out the list before reading the excerpt that you add the words to.

The actual quote, from Mary Costello’s The River Capture:
He clung to her, crying, and then made love to her and went far inside her and she begged him to go deeper and, no longer afraid of injuring her, he went deep in mind and body, among crowded organ cavities, past the contours of her lungs and liver, and, shimmying past her heart, he felt her perfection.
