The episode is a little late which means I had to cut out a whole bit wishing you all a Merry Christmas, but Happy New Year! We're talking about book resolutions, what we learned from our last year of reading and reviewing, and our January reading project.

In January we will be reading books from the backlist, books that we already owned and haven’t read. After a new book heavy 2018, we realized we really enjoy reading things that have been around a while that we’ve maybe missed out on while we were busy chasing buzzy books that have, ultimately, disappointed us.

We want you to let us know how you feel about your reading accomplishments in 2018 and what you’re looking forward to in 2019. And let us know what you’d like to hear us discuss this year.

Next week we're discussing Shirley Hazzard's The Transit of Venus.
